IASC COVID-19 Response Updates

New Hours:

IASC is open on a limited basis at this time. While we are NOT seeing clients in the office--please don't stop by at this time--we are returning phone calls and setting up video and telephone conferences. Please call (860) 629-7758 and leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience during this difficult time.

Unemployment Benefits:

In light of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting millions of workers (at least temporarily) losing their jobs, our office has been flooded with calls and emails about whether claiming unemployment insurance will give rise to inadmissibility under the Public Charge rule. The short answer is that claiming state-based unemployment insurance benefit, if one is eligible for it, does not normally constitute a public charge for immigration purposes. If you are eligible for unemployment you should access unemployment and it will not harm future immigration chances.

IASC COVID-19/Coronavirus Información Importante

Nuevas Horas:
