IASC provides affordable, competent legal representation to the immigrant community in greater New London and works as an important resource in disseminating valuable information and insight on immigration law and policy to community leaders, educators and students.

The Need for IASC
While most believe that the law should apply to all individuals equally, the truth is that those without legal representation are less successful. Legal costs can exceed $5,000+ per filing with a private law firm. IASC ensures equal treatment under the law for local residents, regardless of financial status. IASC is the only non-profit in Southeast Connecicut providing legal immigration guidance: other organizations are located an hour or more away and are inaccessible to local immigrants.

Fee Assistance for Immigrant Relief
U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service (USCIS) filing fees for immigration cases are prohibitively high for many low-income residents, ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars. IASC's FAIR Fund provides direct assistance with fees allowing our immigrant neighbors to reserve limited resources for food and housing. Thank you to donors on behalf of the many individuals and their families who have benefited from FAIR.
